Contrary to the popular woes associated with wearing it (a certain 10-minute routine every time you need to use the washroom), The Jumpsuit is quite the winner in my opinion! "Why?", ask the girls waiting in line for the above-said washrooms. Well, 1. Speaking of all the lazy girls across town, it's really easy to adorn a jumpsuit in the mornings and rush outta the door, without having to worry about the skirt matching the top or the pants matching the shoes. It's a whole outfit in itself. I'm sold! 2. You don't have to worry about your shirt riding up or tucking the blouse in every time you rise from your seat. Which in turn results in us being comfortable all day. 3. The most convincing one: It's versatile as hell! "How, though? It's one jumpsuit. There's only so much you can do with it.", say the same girls still waiting in line.
So today, we break down how to breathe new life into our much-repeated, everyday jumpsuit! Let's go.
LOOK 1: The Powerhouse
I don't even remember the last time I got off the bed without hitting the snooze button like it's a well-paid job. Haha. I'm running late on most days and that in turn always leaves me with just a couple of minutes to spare, to put together a quick yet polished outfit together. In comes the trusty Jumpsuit! *cue a superhero theme music in the back*. Pull on your jumpsuit, throw on a smart blazer, a pair of dynamic heels, a swish of lipstick later and you're ready to run this town! Take it from me when I tell you that nobody takes you seriously when you show up to a meeting in joggers and a half-up messy bun (been there, done that).
This look is an absolute saviour when you crave to steer away from the done-to-death pencil skirts and pant suits in B/W, but also mean business in every sense. I've opted for some nude high heels but you could swap them for some kitten heels with a shorter height if you're going to be up on your feet, all day.
Also, the color of the jumpsuit is up for discussion. I've chosen a red one and a black blazer, as the golden buttons quietly compliment the red hue of the jumpsuit (duh, details!). Depending on your work environment, you could sooth down the choice of colors (I recommend cobalt blue and maroon) or get louder with respect to prints and patterns. It's really up to you as long as you are open to the possibility of how versatile a regular jumpsuit can get!
Stay tuned for the next post as we unravel LOOK 2!! Do tell me what you thought of how this outfit has bee styled and shot, in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
